Hey all, Dani here.
Okay, so as I said–I believe in my May TBR post–I’m going to have two book haul and wrap up posts up in the next couple of days. Right now I am obviously posting a May specific wrap up, but I also have my BEA/BookCon haul and wrap up coming. So just know that all the books I haul in this post do not include the ones I picked up while in New York.
Let’s start with the book haul portion of this post. I warn you that it was a big haul month.
So there were a lot of books I was looking forward to this month, and a lot of books I heard talked about on BookTube. Plus, with BEA and BookCon approaching, there were a lot of books I was trying to cram into my TBR so I could finish them before my trip. And of course I’m trying to expand my boyfriend and my D&D library as well so I had to buy a few more campaign guides.
Then there were my bookish subscription boxes. This month I purchased the Lit-Cube box and started a subscription with OwlCrate, so I’ll share those unboxing photos with you now. I’m sad to say that I somehow didn’t take a photo of my Lit-Cube box yet, and now that I’m in New York I have no quick way to snap a quick pic anyway. The Lit-Cube theme was Princess of Thieves, and was pitched as a gender swapped Robin Hood, so I was interested in that, and this month’s OwlCrate theme was Comic Explosion, and I’m a big nerd so of course I wanted to get it, especially after seeing a couple unboxing videos. This month’s OwlCrate had a book I really wanted and some pretty cool swag. I’m happy with my choices. Oh, and in case you are interested, the June Lit-Cube theme is Modern Cinderella, and the OwlCrate June theme is Make It Out Alive. OwlCrate also has a middle grade box called OwlCrate Jr. The May theme was On the Case (and was all about detectives) and the June theme is Gizmos & Gears.
And now moving on to the wrap up of all the books I read in the month of May. As always, if I have posted a review of the book already then I will be sure to include the link for you.
