What I’m Reading (51)

Hey all, Dani here.

I think today’s post may be a bit shorter than my usual weekly wrap up posts. What I’ve been reading has all pretty much been lengthier reads, so I’m not finishing as many books, though I am still reading a large number of pages. Anyway, this is my weekly post where I talk about what I’ve read since the last post, what I’m currently reading, and what I’m hoping to start very soon.

Let’s get started with the books that I have read since my last post. First up, I managed to finish A Winter’s Promise, though not during the time limit of my JanJamJarReadathon. Still, I’m glad to have read the book. Then I started February by reading Noragami: Stray God Volume 1, which was a pretty interesting manga. After that it was time to pick up King of Scars. Now, I wish I could say that I took my time with this one and savored it…but nope, it’s Leigh Bardugo, and Nikolai, so I pretty much flew through it.

I suppose that means that it is time to talk about my current reads, and for that I have one book that has been on my TBR for quite some time, and was actually on my JanJamJarReadathon TBR though I didn’t quite get around to it, and then I also have another of my anticipated fantasy reads. You know, because it is Fantastic February, so I’m trying to focus on reading books that firmly fit in the fantasy genre.

Finally, I guess I should probably try to pick what my next couple of reads will be. My TBR for this month is filled with far more books than I’ll actually be able to finish in such a short amount of time, but I wanted to have a nice variety to choose from. Okay, I did a random draw from all of the books on my TBR for the month, and the next books on my radar should be quite fun reads, or at least that is my opinion on them based on reviews that I have watched and read. I’m excited.

If it isn’t obvious by some of my picks, right now I’m feeling very roguish and heist-y for my reads. That, and I’m feeling like I’m ready to tackle some of my bigger books. Strange the Dreamer and The Last Magician are both on my list of big books that I’m hoping to tackle in 2019.

That is all for today. I hope you all are having a wonderful reading week. Let me know if you’ve finished anything awesome lately, because I’m always looking for more great reads to add to my TBR. I’ll be back soon with more bookish content.
