Damian Trypp here.
It was a long but much needed long weekend. We went hiking one of the days and it was tougher than we had anticipated, which left me sore for a couple days. But it was such a good hike that I can’t complain too much. Anyway, I have another manga review for all of you today and I need to type up some more reviews so I can keep up with posting.
Average, unexceptional, 37-year-old salary-man Satoru Mikami has found himself in a gooey situation. After getting killed while saving his coworkers’ lives, he gets a new lease on life – just not the life he was expecting. He has been reincarnated in a fantasy world as a magic-wielding slime creature. Under his new name “Rimuru Tempest,” this once-normal man will have to learn to survive in this strange, new world-and with his incredible wit, affable nature, and a few powerful allies, he’ll quickly ooze his way into the hearts and minds of everyone he encounters along his journey.
Okay so I had been eyeballing this manga for a little while because of the anime being all over. I expected to get a kick out of it, but I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I have. I even went and got the next 2 volumes to read. I will definitely be keeping up with this one as much as I can. The first volume was a very nice intro into the world of the little slime creature that Satoru was reincarnate as, and the allies and friends he ends up making really add to the story rather than just being a fanservice to the main character. A world of magic, heroes, and monsters await you as you see just how far one little slime will go to survive his new world and help his allies, with a few surprises at the end of the manga that add a lot of entertainment as well.
