Hey guys it Damian here,
It’s been a while but i do have a few reviews to do. Sometimes I wish I could read a book as fast as Thamasa. She is definitely more active on here than I am, but don’t think I’m forgetting you guys. I think I have a few good ones to review this time around and I might have to venture out of my usual choice of manga to get some new stuff to review. Anyway here’s the first of the group hope you enjoy.
Jiro Azuma is descended from a long line of ninja, and he can talk to animals. One day he rescues a unique black cat named Rago, a supernatural being, and is dragged into a mystical war.
Although he may appear rough-and-tumble, Jiro Azuma’s compassionate side emerges when it comes to the furry critters he can communicate with. But Jiro’s soft spot for animals gets him in major trouble when a suspicious stray cat fuses with him, granting him exceptional power but also dragging him into humanity’s hidden battle against powerful demons.
I honestly thought this was going to be okay, but it actually ended up being better than I thought it would be which was nice. The art and story line so far had me enjoying it from the beginning. The way it is written really makes me root for the two main characters Jiro and Rago as well. I was on the edge of the bed reading this as I turned each page wanting to see what happened next and soon enough it was over and I was left to stare at the ads on the last few pages. Action, comedy and possibility for romance place this into my usual go to for when I’m waiting for my more mainstream manga to update volumes. Black Torch has a lot of potential and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I do not tend to be disappointed when it comes to Shonen Jump or Viz Media manga.
