Hey all, Dani here.
Welcome to the start of another Manga Monday. I should just go ahead and say that I’ve been reading some really cool manga lately, including a couple that are new to me, so there will be plenty more content coming for future Manga Mondays. That’s pretty exciting for me. I’ve really enjoyed having this series on my blog.
I’ve seen BookTubers and such try to do a Manga Monday, and they shoot for every other week, but then it only lasts for 2 or 3 episodes before they just stop posting. I’m proud that I’m able to keep up with manga enough to be able to put out 2 posts every Monday for months and months. I have my posts scheduled still for at least another couple of months. Okay, I just checked my calendar, and I have about 2/3rds of my Manga Monday posts filled through the end of November right now. So don’t worry about my content lagging or anything. Heck, I’m only going to make it to like Volume 25 or so of Fairy Tail by the end of this year since I only post this series every other week.
Anyway, let’s go ahead and jump into today’s first Manga review.

Rating: 5 stars
I read this as part of Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon April 2020
The first chapter of this wraps up the Tower of Heaven story arc and then we jump into the Battle of Fairy Tail, with Laxus and his crew initiating a civil war. And this of course has to happen right as a festival is starting, one that is about a lot of Fairy Tail entertainment. Oh boy. Let the battles begin.
So this particular story arc is the conclusion to the first season of the anime. Honestly, what a way to finish off a season. Let’s be completely honest: I think that it this series had not been popular, then the Battle of Fairy Tail arc would have made a halfway decent series finale.
I’m really glad it’s not the end though, because Fairy Tail just got some new members, and you know things are just going to get even bigger and even tougher and even more exciting in the future.
But for where we are in this moment, it is pretty intense. Fairy Tail always seems to have been a guild where the members fight against each other, sort of in that sibling rivalry/antagonism sort of way. However, with what Laxus and his crew start in this volume, it is much more serious than a mere squabble between siblings.
What’s going to happen to Fairy Tail? Well, I guess you’ll have to read on to find that out.
