October Book Haul and OwlCrate Unboxing

Hey all, Dani here.

Welcome back. This is the third day in a row of posting, but let’s not get too excited just yet. If I can keep to a somewhat regular posting schedule in 2022 then I’ll get excited. Okay, the catch up continues, this time with a focus on October.

Obviously the biggest event of October was my wedding, but that post is coming up tomorrow, so stay tuned. Other than that, we once again made a trip to the Ohio Renaissance Festival to pick up items for the wedding, and just to enjoy the food. Again, I will point out that it was super crowded, making it difficult to walk around and making the lines really long. We’ve purchased season passes for ORF next year, but I’m really hoping that we’re a little better off with handling the pandemic or that they have an attendance cap.

Anyway, first up, it’s my Octoberbook haul!

I think we did three different bookstore stops in October, including literally October 31st on the way to our honeymoon location. I have read the manga already, and of course I’ve read Gideon and Harrow already (I now own them in hardcover, paperback, and e-book). I also read a couple of these books during the honeymoon, but I suppose I’ll talk about that tomorrow.

All right, overall a pretty good book haul. Now, onto the OwlCrate Unboxing.

October’s theme was Wield Your Blade. That little sewing kit tin will be useful for when we start more regularly going to conventions, and I do really like the Lord of the Rings poem stand thing. The OwlCrate edition of Jade Fire Gold is pretty cool, but I do like the original better, so I’m glad that I have both.

I still need to read this book, though. I still really want to read it, because it sounds really interesting and I’ve heard rave reviews about it. It’s a sentiment I can say about a nicely sized stack of books from this year.

Well, that is all from me for today, but I will be back tomorrow to talk a little about the wedding and honeymoon.
